State oil and gas company PT Pertamina has increased the price of high octane fuel by between Rp 200 to Rp 300.
As of Monday, Pertamina raised the price of non-subsidized Pertamax, Pertamax Plus and Bio Pertamax, the company said in an official statement published Sunday night.
In Greater Jakarta, the price of Pertamax increased from Rp 5,600 to Rp 5,900 per liter. In selected gas stations, Pertamax's prices increased from Rp 5,550 to Rp 5,850.
Prices of Pertamax Plus increased from Rp 6,300 to Rp 6,500 per liter, while the price of Bio Pertamax increased from Rp 5,600 to Rp 5,900 per liter.
"The price adjustment was made due to the strengthening of the rupiah against the US dollar," Pertamina's spokesman Basuki Trikora Putra said.
