Prosecutors are seeking a four-year jail term for a former supplier to the Ministry of Manpower and Transmigration, Erry Fuad, who allegedly caused Rp 2.7 billion in state losses when her company CV Dareta was involved in the ministry's projects in several regions.

"We demand the judges declare the defendant legally and convincingly guilty of corruption and sentence her to four years in prison," prosecutor Chatarina Girsang read before the Corruption Court on Tuesday.

The prosecutors demanded Erry should pay Rp 200 million in fines or serve an additional three months’ imprisonment should she fail to pay.

She should be obliged to pay Rp 2.7 billion in restitution for the state losses, less the Rp 77 million she had already returned to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and the Rp 347 million she had given to the project's head Taswin Zein as an "operational fund".

Her company was directly appointed by the ministry to procure training equipment for vocational training centers in Makassar, Samarinda, Serang, Lembang, Semarang, Ternate and Medan with a total budget of Rp 8.9 billion.
