State oil and gas company PT Pertamina says it will need seven days to repair the Cilacap refinery, which had been partly shut down due to pipe leakages in a crude distillation unit.
"We will replace the two leaking tubes and we expect the refinery to start again within seven days," Toharso, Pertamina's corporate secretary, told reporters Thursday in Palembang.
On Wednesday morning, two pipes at one of the refinery's crude distillation units leaked, leading to a fire at the CDU's stake furnace.
The Cilacap refinery produces Premium gasoline, kerosene and avtur and has a total capacity of 350,000 barrels of oil per day.
Pertamina said the incident would not cause a fuel shortage.
