The country's flag carrier Garuda Indonesia said it would increase its flight frequency from Jakarta to Kuala Lumpur from one to two by the end of this year.

"We saw our current load factor have reached 75 percent and even more during school breaks like June and July. This is very promising," Garuda Indonesia Vice President overseeing Network Risnandi was quoted by Kompas.com as saying in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.

Risnandi said the company board of directors had agreed with the new additional flights from Jakarta to Kuala Lumpur.
