SBY, ministers ride bicycles for Int'l Environment Day

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) rode a tandem bicycle with his wife, Kristiani Yudhoyono, from Senayan in South Jakarta to the National Monument in Central Jakarta as part of the International Environment Day commemoration on Sunday.
Environmental Minister Rachmat Witoelar, State Minister for Research and Technology Kusmayanto Kadiman, Internal Affairs Minister Mardiyanto, and Golkar Party senior politician Akbar Tanjung were among the groups joining in the commemoration.
There was also a group of SBY's voluntary supporters handing out stickers, pins and posters, all containing blatant support statement for the president's re-election quest in the July election, despite the fact that the official open campaign can only begin on June 12 based on a schedule by the General Elections Commission (KPU).
However, SBY denied that his biking with his wife was a part of his campaign.
"I've ridden bikes many times with my wife in the past, not only nearing the times of election," he said.(
