DENPASAR: Since its establishment in 2004, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has received a total of 422 reports on possible corruption from the residents of the resort island
However, according to KPK deputy chief Chandra M Hamzah, only 109 reports were supported with sufficient initial evidence to enable the KPK to launch an investigation.
The rest was not supported by evidence and KPK could not obtain additional information from the senders since all those reports were anonymously sent.
"That's why we will organize educational sessions to teach the public the correct ways to draft and send a report on possible corruption," he said Tuesday. - JP
