Trans Kalimantan highway repair works to finish this year

The South Kalimantan administration said Sunday it would finish the Trans Kalimantan highway repair works this year.

Head of the province’s public works agency Arsyadie said people would be able to travel comfortably across the province before the Idul Fitri celebration in September 2009.

"We will ban the transportation of mining products from one location to another on national and provincial roads in July 2009," he was quoted as saying by Antara state news agency.

The ban will make roads in the province last longer.
