SURABAYA: Surabaya Education Agency head Suhudi urged students not to conduct street convoys to celebrate their passing of the national examinations, the results of which would be announced Monday.
"We have urged teachers to ban their students from conducting street convoys... Students who are found conducting convoys could face having their certificates withheld," Suhudi said.
The Office of the State Minister for Education is set to announce the results of the national examinations on Monday at all senior high schools in 38 regencies and cities in East Java (except SMA 2 high school in Ngawi and SMA Wungu high school in Madiun). The students at these two schools will sit repeat examinations. - JP
