JAYAPURA: A small plane belonging to the privately run Express Air carrying 29 passengers skidded off the runaway on arrival at Tanah Merah airstrip in Papua, on Sunday. No injuries were reported.
Papua police spokesman Adj. Sr. Comr. Nurhabri on Monday said the plane had leaned right during landing and hit trees, breaking its propeller and landing gear.
"The weather was clear at the time. It is suspected the plane leaned to the right because it hit a black dog while landing," Nurhabri said. - JP
