Three explosions hit the headquaters of the Police Mobile Brigade in Kelapa
Dua, Depok, early Wednesday morning. Police said that
although the explosion created a fire, no one was injured in the
incident.
National Police spokerperson Insp. Gen. Abubakar Nataprawira said the explosions, which occurred at 02:15 a.m. in a simulation room of the Bomb Defuser Unit, may have been caused by explosives stored in the room.
“There was no activity in the room when the explosions occurred. It's possible that they were caused by training [explosive] material in the room,” he said as quoted by tempinteraktif.com.
Abubakar said that the explosions created a fire, which was extinguished 45 minutes later.
“There were no fatalities or no injuries. They were low explosives,” he said. The National Police's Central Forensic Laboratory personnel were investigating the scene, he said. (dre)
