Letters: New KPK target

The Corruption Eradication Commission's (KPK) target to stop illegal levy practices in public service is a good way to fight corruption in the country because it has been known that these practices have been conducted for decades, since the Soeharto Administration.
Illegal levies taken by public service bureaucrats cost the economy and discourage business people and investors from doing business in Indonesia.
In an effort to create the good and clean governance, the government needs to reorganize and improve its working system, mainly in connection with public service, by making a one stop service so that the handling of any document can be done more efficiently.
