Ministry to revise state owned enterprises law

The State Ministry of State Owned Enterprises (SOE) plans to revise SOE law in order to clarify misleading technical terms.

Ministry secretary Said Didu said for example that the term "privatization” often confused the public.

Privatization is not only conducted through an Initial Public Offering (IPO), but can be done through other measures such as mergers and liquidations, he said.

However, Said Didu was pessimistic that the revision would be completed this year. (Naf)
