JAKARTA: The Jakarta Education Agency will repair a selective sports school building in Ragunan, South Jakarta, next year.
The building, built in 1970, is currently in a critical state, with its walls crumbling and almost all of its facilities inadequate for teaching and learning activities.
Head of educational facilities division at the agency, Didi Sugandhi, said his office would first carry out a survey, which would probably take up to three months, to estimate the cost of repairs.
As many as 410 students are currently enrolled at the educational institution, which includes a junior high school and a senior high school.
This year, 87.88 percent of its students graduated, a significant increase from last year's 39.8 percent. - JP
