The Kalla-Wiranto campaign team accused the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) of discrimination Friday for reporting the pair to police for having state officials on their team.

Bawaslu reported the pair to the police for having two officials from state companies (BUMN) on their campaign team, a violation of a general election laws.

Campaign spokesman Yuddy Chrisnandi said the Bawaslu was discriminative because it had reported his team but not Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's, which is guilty of the same violation.

"They [SBY-Boediono] have included more BUMN officials [in their team]," he said, as quoted by state news agency Antara.

Yuddy, however, said that Kalla and Wiranto would answer any summons by the police, should the case continue. (dre)
