SBY and Boediono team reports illegal banners to Bawaslu

The Archipelago Network, one of the Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) and Boediono campaign team that manages activists, filed a report with the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) on Monday concerning illegal banners using its name to discredit its own presidential candidate.

The illegal banners, titled “SBY-Boediono DISASTER … Continue!”, have the Archipelago Network's name on them and are located in several areas of the city such as Jl. Sultan Agung, Jl. Casablanca, Jl. DI Panjaitan, Kebon Nanas, Cipinang and Jatinegara.

“We never made those banners, they are illegal,” The Archipelago Network chairman, Heru W Dharsono, said Monday.

He said those responsible for producing the illegal banners should be punished as the banners were aimed at provoking his team.

“We have asked Bawaslu and the police to process our report,” he said. (fmb)
