YOGYAKARTA: The state-run Gadjah Mada University (UGM) in Yogyakarta has organized 367 students to monitor the presidential election on July 8.
Head of UGM Research and Public Service Institute Prof. Danang Parikesit revealed on Monday that students would be deployed to monitor the election in Sleman, Bantul, Kulon Progo, Gunung Kidul, and Yogyakarta city.
"The presidential election is very strategic as it will determine the national leadership for the next fi ve years. The students will calm voters and advise them to choose candidates based on knowledge," Danang said. - JP
