Vice President Jusuf Kalla strongly denied accusations that he had criticized the incumbent government over certain policies.
"I never criticize the government; I only point out the solution [to certain problems]," he told a gathering of over 1000 people, from farmers and fishermen to Muslim clerics, in An Nashuha Islamic boarding school in Losari, West Java on Tuesday.
"I only wanted to correct the wrong input from other officials, because not all government officials have the correct opinions,"
Kalla made the statement while answering a question from a fisherman during tjhe dialogue.
Kalla, the chairman of the Golkar Party who is also vying for the presidential post in the July 8 election, is on a state visit to Central Java province to meet groups of farmers and young people.
