On Wednesday, model and TV host Olga Lidya was crowned as an ambassador for reading by Books for Hope, a non-profit organization aiming to change the lives of children living in remote areas and poverty-stricken villages in Southeast Asia, through education.
As a celebrity, Olga could have great influence at grassroots levels, organization founder Grace Sai said.
"[Olga] will be the communication bridge for Books for Hope because everyone knows Olga Lidya," Grace said.
As ambassador, Olga will also visit villages to share her love of reading with children and to encourage them to dream big.
"I am very proud to be part of efforts to educate children in the country and hope we can all work together for our society," Olga said. (
