The Attorney General's Office (AGO) will officially discharge Dondy Kumando Soedirman, head of the Banten High Prosecutors' Office, on Monday.
“The transfer ceremony will be held at the AGO building in Jakarta,” Mustaqim, spokesperson of the High Prosecutors' Office, told
tempointeraktif.com on Friday.
Dondy will be transferred to a staff position at the AGO and his position will be taken by Abdul Wahab Hasibuan, who is currently deputy chief of the South Sumatra High Prosecutors' Office.
Banten prosecutors have been under heavy scrutiny following the detention of housewife Prita Mulyasari prior to her libel trial last month. Prita was charged with defaming Omni International Hospital in Tangerang after posting complaints on the Internet about the hospital’s poor service.
Attorney General Hendarman Supandji admitted Banten prosecutors had been “unprofessional” in their handling of the case. (dre)
