DENPASAR: The Denpasar Sanitation and Landscaping Agency, working with the Bali General Elections Commission (KPUD), has cleaned up all campaign material put up in prohibited places in Denpasar and surrounding areas.

Posters and banners with the pictures of presidential and vice presidential candidates had been placed along the city's main streets, on office buildings and at public parks, all of which are supposed to be free from any sort of campaign material.

KPUD member I Gede John Darmawan said 16 posters of various sizes had been taken down.

"Most of them were for *President Susilo Bambang* Yudhoyono," he said. -JP
