PALEMBANG: At least 13,200 students have applied for places at Sriwijaya Unversity in Palembang, South Sumatra, through a government-run university entrance test.
Secretary of the local test committee in Palembang, Daniel Saputra, said Friday that by June 24, the figure had already exceeded last year's record of 12,530 test participants.
He said the university had allocated places for only 3,000 new students this year. -JP
