Jakarta malls to give discounts

JAKARTA: Jakarta's malls will simultaneously give discounts of up to 70 percent, for the Jakarta Great Sale (JGS) event.
The monthlong event, running from July 18 to Aug. 19, in conjunction with Jakarta's 482nd anniversary, aims to boost the city's retail sector and targets transactions of up to Rp 6 trillion (US$600 million).
JGS coordinator Andreas Kartawinata said they had collaborated with malls, shops, retailers, airlines and hotels for the event.
"We hope this year's JGS will reach the target or exceed it," he said as quoted by beritajakarta.com. - JP
