Letters: KPK's new target

This is a comment on an editorial titled "KPK's new target" (the Post, June 13, p. 6).
This is indeed a very good target of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). I have to go to the immigration office every month for a new visa.
The people over there are now very punctual and honest. They do their job seriously and never ask for extra money. (However, in the beginning they did). What bothers me more are the people over there who would like to help you. They make a business out of helping foreigners get visas.
For example, I would like to get a KITAS (a temporary resident document), and I know from several people who work at the immigration office and from the Internet that the fee is Rp 800.000 (US$80).The people who would like to help you in getting such a KITAS ask, without being embarrassed, for around Rp 12 million.
