Domestic tourists continue to visit Kuta beach, Bali, as the school holiday season entered its second week.
Kuta beach officer Wayan Sirna said that the number of Indonesian's visiting Kuta beach had jumped significantly and that they currenlty outnumber foreign visitors.
"They walk and swim on the beach during the day time," he said.
These are mostly junior and senior high school students, accompanied by either their families or in school groups, he added.
"There are currently 3,000 domestic tourists visiting a day," he said.

"Father, why can I not wear a very modest bathing costume with shawl to cover up my shoulders, etc? These few foreigners who still come to Kuta are wearing immodest bikinis after all."
Father to daughter;
"Because it is legal for foreigners to show off all but their private parts but illegal for you to show off your legs!"
Daughter to father;
"Thank you father, that makes me happy and proud to be Indonesian! [sic]"
