A taxi company in Palu, Central Sulawesi, received a bomb threat Tuesday morning from an unidentified man, Tempointeraktif.com reported.
Employees at PT Utama Taksi and residents living nearby fled the area in panic after learning a man had rang an employee at the company on her cellphone around 9.40 am local time and said, “Be careful, I have planted a bomb there.”
She immediately informed her boss of the threat, who then reported it to the local police.
A bomb squad arrived at the scene in less than an hour after receiving the report. Police are still tracing the caller’s telephone number. (adh)
