The newly-established South Tangerang municipal administration is planning to form seven units to monitor and maintain roads in the municipality,
tempointeraktif.com has reported.
Eddy Malonda, head of the municipal Public Works Agency, said Wednesday that the seven units would be responsible for the maintenance of a total of 137 kilometers of roads in the municipality, which was established in January.
Meanwhile, Dendi Priantama, head of South Tangerang Bina Marga, a division of the Public Works Agency which oversees construction of road networks, said that the municipality was aiming to eliminate road damage in 2010.
