JAKARTA: A motorcyclist reported a public bus driver for punching him in the face after the former refused to run a red light in Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta.
Motorcyclist Ammy Febrian reported the bus driver, Ompong, to the traffic police who took the driver to Pasar Minggu Police.
Ammy said while he was waiting for the traffic light to turn green, the bus driver behind him honked repeatedly.
"Since the lights were still red, I did not move," he told detik.com.
The bus driver got off of the bus, walked up to him and punched him in the face. The driver then returned to the bus and drove away.
"The perpetrator is charged with abuse, punishable by to 5 years in prison," Pasar Minggu Police chief Comr. Maryoto said. - JP
