Letters: Lights during the day

The police suggested last year that motorists turn their headlights on during the day. This regulation (not signed as law yet?) was issues in order to prevent road accidents.

In my opinion, this regulation can not be effective. I think the main cause of accidents on our roads is not whether or not headlights are on or off, but has more to do with the skills of a driver. Most traffic accidents that involve motorcycles are due to a riders' inability to ride safely. It is also because motorcyclists are usually more aggressive than car drivers. This regulation also does not match with the government's campaign to save energy.

Imagine that headlights need 100 watts of electricity. If the dozens of millions of motorcycles in this country drove around with their headlights on all the time, how much energy would be used? As a poor country, we must be more efficient in everything.
