Indonesia will hold the 2nd UNESCAP Asia Pacific ministerial conference on public and private partnership for infrastructure development from April 14 to April 17 next year at the Jakarta International Expo center.
The conference will see Indonesia outline its latest plans and projects regarding infrastructure nationwide, the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) said in a statement Friday.
The event will focus on projects involving construction, building and urban development, energy, oil and gas, transport infrastructure, IT and telecommunications, water, irrigation and waste management.
Delegations from the 53 UNESCAP member countries, which may include ministers overseeing infrastructure and development, are expected to present their latest regional infrastructure projects during the conference.
Indonesia needs to speed up its infrastructure projects in order to further spur growth, which is estimated to expand by 4.3 percent in Indonesia this year.
