Letters: Pro XL `Nomor cantik'

Around 6 months ago I was approached by some Pro XL sales people in Artha Gading mall to sign up and get a free XL number that is easy to remember (Nomor Cantik).

I signed up for a particular number for my wife but it went under my name. For a few months I kept calling my wife on her new number but never checked my phone bill. This month when I checked, I was surprised to see that the Pro XL number that was given to me was actually registered in the City of Mataram.

It was expensive every time I called my wife from the house phone. I called the XL Call Center and asked them to change it to Jakarta. They told me that it is impossible and I would have to get a new number that is registered in Jakarta.

I felt cheated by Pro XL because at the time they sold the number they did not tell us that it was from Mataram. They should never have sold a number that is from another city or province. Or even if they wanted to sell it, they should at least inform us so that we can decide whether to take it or not.

Now that all our contacts know this new number it would be quite a hassle to inform them again of another new number. I would like Pro XL to change the location of my wife's number to Jakarta. I don't need to explain why.

I want you to be responsible for the neglect, irresponsibility and dishonesty of your sales staff. I want Pro XL to be fair and honest when selling their products.
