SBY’s aide launches book praising the President

The deputy chairman of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’s Democratic Party, Anas Urbaningrum, launched a book Friday praising his boss’ leadership.
Titled “Not Just a President”, the book outlines why Anas, a former member of the General Elections Commission who joined the Democratic Party in 2005, believed the President is “the comprehensive leader that Indonesia needs”.
Anas said Yudhoyono could inspire people, foster peace and act as a role model, among other things.
“SBY led his party to victory in a democratic way. And he made a breakthrough by picking Boediono as his vice presidential candidate despite strong protest from certain groups,” Anas said.
Attending the book launch were Democratic Party chairman Hadi Utomo, former Golkar Party chairman Akbar Tandjung, former Constitutional Court chief Jimly Ashiddiqie and political expert Siti Zuhro.
