W. Jakarta P2B tears down illegal building

JAKARTA: West Jakarta Property Supervision Office tore down on Thursday a four-story building on Jl. Taman Daan Mogot in Tanjung Duren, Grogol Petamburan, saying the building has violated the bylaw.
"The permit is only for two-story residences. But we found the building is four stories, of which two stories will be used for rented rooms. That's definitely against the permit," an official with the office, Febriana Tambunan, told beritajakarta.com.
As of June, the office has demolished 55 illegal buildings and sealed off another 507. The office also felled five advertisement billboards and sealed off 282 telecommunication towers this year. - JP
