Close aide to SBY launches book praising the President

JAKARTA: The deputy chairman of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's Democratic Party, Anas Urbaningrum, launched a book in Jakarta on Friday praising the President's leadership.
Titled "Not Just a President", the book outlines why Anas, who joined the Democratic Party in 2005, believes the President is "the comprehensive leader that Indonesia needs".
Anas said Yudhoyono could inspire people, bring about peace, act as a good role model and care for the people, among other qualities.
"SBY has brought victory to his party via democratic processes. And he made a breakthrough by picking Boediono as his vice presidential candidate despite criticisms from certain groups," he said.
The book launch was attended by Democratic Party chairman Hadi Utomo, former Golkar Party chairman Akbar Tandjung, former Constitutional Court chief Jimly Ashiddiqie and political expert Siti Zuhro. - JP
