Ministry reports new H1N1 cases, warns over human-to-human infection

The Health Ministry said Saturday it has recorded 12 new cases of H1N1, bringing the total number of the flu cases in Indonesia to 20.
The 12 new patients were all Indonesians, Tjandra Yoga Aditama, Director General of Disease Control and Environmental Health at the ministry, told a press conference.
“We are now having human-to-human infection in Indonesia,” he said.
The new patients, which ranges from a ten-month-old baby to 65-year-old man, are treated at Sulianti Saroso Hospital and Bintaro Hospital in Jakarta and Sanglah hospital in Denpasar, Bali.
Tjandra said that most of the patients got infected during their stay abroad in Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, and Canada.
The ministry are warning the public to remain cautious and pay attention to individual hygiene and sanitation.
The government have also ordered public health centers across the nation to make routine report of diseases. (dre)
