Siamese twins delivered safely at RSCM

JAKARTA: A pair of Siamese twins was safely delivered through Caesarian surgery at Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital on Friday morning. The female babies' abdomens are attached to each other.
M. Imam Khudlori, the father of the babies, called Nayla and Nabila, said he was happy to have them, but feared he could not afford the cost of treating them.
"I heard it will cost Rp 300 million. Where can I get the money?" he said as quoted by tempointeraktif.com.
Dr. Aria Wibawa, who helped in the delivery, said the babies were healthy, although they were born a month earlier than scheduled. - JP
