Kalla and Megawati to discuss faults in electoral roll

Presidential hopeful Jusuf Kalla and running mate Wiranto will meet with Megawati Soekarnoputri and her vice presidential running mate Prabowo Subianto on Sunday evening to discuss the controversial electoral roll.The meeting, scheduled to be held at Muhammadiyah headquarters, will be hosted by Muhammadiyah chairman Din Syamsuddin, according to Kalla campaign team member Poempida Hidayatollah.
Muhammadiyah is the second largest Muslim organization in the country.
Member of the House of Representatives’ special committee investigating fraud in the electoral roll, Eva Kusuma Sundari, said earlier that as many as 49 million citizens eligible to vote in the July 8 presidential election remain unregistered.
Kalla, in his capacity as Vice President, has asked the General Elections Commission (KPU) to re-evaluate the electoral roll before Monday.
