Indonesia's men's beach volleyball duo I Gede Eka Agustiawan and Ade Chandra have won a bronze medal at the first Asian Youth Games in Singapore, the only medal the country picked up during the tournament.
Kompas.com reported that Agus and Chandra had defeated their Yemeni rivals Omair and Mohammad Sheikh in a 21-16 and 21-17 match to decide the third winner.
In the women's division, Indonesian players Dhita Yuliana and Dhanis Evlina failed to win third place after being beaten by a Chinese pair in a 7-21 and 18-21 duel.
The country sent 45 athletes to compete in eight sporting events at the championship, which is held every four years from late June to early July. (ewd)
