Presidential candidate Jusuf Kalla and his running mate Wiranto arrived at the General Elections Commission (KPU) office Monday morning, followed shortly by presidential candidate Megawati Soekarnoputri's running mate Prabowo, to discuss the electoral roll issue.

Kalla and Wiranto, both of whom wore light blue safari shirts, came down from their car and went straight to the office of KPU chairman Abdul Hafiz Anshary without saying a word.

Prabowo arrived shortly after and went upstairs, also without giving any comments to waiting reporters.

However, reports said the presidential and vice presidential candidates showed up today to get the latest developments from the KPU chief on the electoral roll issue, in which 49 million eligible voters allegedly remain unregistered for Wednesday’s presidential election.

Abdul said earlier the KPU would fix the electoral roll problem by Sunday.

Kalla and Megawati on Sunday called on the KPU to allow people to vote using their identity cards.
