Recreation center offers 50% discount for voters

PURBALINGGA, C. Java: The Owabong recreation center in Purbalingga regency, Central Java, is offeing 50 percent discounts to visitors who vote in Wednesday's presidential election, a spokesman said Sunday.

"The visitors should show their ink-stained fingers, showing they have voted," said the center's PR manager, Agus Dwiyangkoro.

He added the discount was aimed at showing the recreation center wanted to help boost voter turnout, with election day also being a public holiday.

"It's our contriubution to the presidential election," Agus said.

Owabong is a natural water theme park, and claims to be the largest such park in Central Java. -JP
