ITB opens registration for new rector candidate

BANDUNG: The election committee for the rector of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) 2010-2014 term opened the registration for rector candidates on Monday.

The committee chairman Djoko Suharto, said the registration, which would be held from July 6 to August 6 this year, was open for internal and external candidates.

"The election will be conducted transparently. Hopefully, we can choose a rector that will represent all groups, communities and interests in the ITB," Djoko told The Jakarta Post, adding that the new rector would be announced on Dec. 5, this year after undergoing several processes. - JP
