JAKARTA: City Education Agency says that there are 7,697 places still available for students who have yet to secure admission to any state schools in the first stage of the admission period, an official said Wednesday.
Agency head Taufik Yudi Mulyanto said although the agency said earlier that there were only 504 places left this soared to 7,697 as 7,193 students failed to confirm their places before the 3 p.m., July 7 deadline.
The 7,193 places consist of 1,806 in state high schools, 1,111 in vocational high schools and 4,276 in junior high schools.
"The students can take part in the second admission stage on July 9-10," Taufik told beritajakarta.com. - JP
