The government will hold the first post-election plenary cabinet meeting next Tuesday, says President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.
"The Vice President, all ministers and I will attend [the meeting] to discuss and decide on several things, especially those related to the United Indonesia Cabinet's policies and programs until Oct. 20 [when the current government ends its term], and the draft of the 2010 state budget, which is still the current government's responsibility," he told a press conference at the State Palace on Thursday.
"Our main concern will be how to maintain the national economy, [to protect it from] from the impact of the global financial crisis."
The cabinet was divided into two campaign teams supporting Yudhoyono and Vice President Jusuf Kalla, who contested the election on Wednesday.
