State fertilizer company PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur (Pupuk Kaltim) plans to issue Rp 1 trillion (US$ 100 million) worth of bonds in the third quarter of the year to gain more capital, a senior official said Monday.
“We plan to issue Rp 1 trillion in bonds, and the money will finance a number of ongoing projects and serve as new capital for the company,” Pupuk Kaltim President Director Hidayat Nyakman told reporters at the office of the state minister for state enterprises in Jakarta.
The company is selecting consultants, underwriters and other supporting institutions, including Bahana Securitas and Danareksa, to issue the bonds.
Pupuk Kaltim will spend some of the money to construct the Kaltim V fertilizer factory and a coal boiler, which will cost it $1.03 billion. (naf)
