Three H1N1 flu patients receiving treatment at the Dr Soetomo Hospital in Surabaya, East Java, have been discharged following their recovery.

“We gave them Tamiflu during treatment and their second test showed up a negative result for the flu,” said the hospital's deputy director, Dr Urip Murtedja, to tempointeraktif.com on Tuesday.

The three patients, a women with her son and her grand child, tested positive to H1N1 after a trip from China, and had been receiving treatment since Friday. They were discharged Monday night.

Despite being cleared, the patients have been asked to report to the hospital once a week for a checkup, Urip said. (dre)
