Man jumps six stories to death

An unidentified man allegedly committed suicide by jumping from a shopping centre in Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta, on Thursday afternoon.

First Insp. Sutrisno, chief of the Tanah Abang Police crime unit, said that the man, predicted to be in his 30s, leaped from a safety railing at around 1:30 a.m.

“He died of a broken skull and bones,” he said as quoted by Antara news agency.

The police were still investigating the scene at the time of writing.

Yanti, an employee at one of the shops in the building, said that the man was seen wandering aimlessly before he jumped. (dre)
