Bali beefs up security after Jakarta hotel blasts

Bali Police say they have increased security measures at entry points to the resort island following fatal explosions at two luxury hotel in Jakarta earlier on Friday.
Insp. Gen. T. Ashikin Husein, Bali Police chief, told a press conference his office has yet to find any indication of security threats and that the island was still secure.
Bali Police are increasing security measures in Gilimanuk, and Padangbai Seaports and Ngurah Rai Airport, as well as tourist areas in Kuta, Jimbaram, Seminyak, Sanur and Legian.
Two sequential explosions hit the Marriott and Ritz-Carlton Hotels in the Mega Kuningan business district in Jakarta, killing at least nine people and injuring at least 50 others. (dre)
