Kalla: Explosions nothing to do with political situation in RI

Vice President Jusuf Kalla insisted that the deadly explosions at the JW Marriott Hotel and the Ritz-Carlton have nothing to do with Indonesia's current political situation following the presidential election.
"There is no relation at all to the presidential election. The people who carried out the bombing made plans months before the election, just like the case of the Bali Bombing," Kalla told reporters at the Vice Presidential office on Friday.
He said that the plans for the bombing could not have been made in a week.
Separately, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said the State Intelligence Agency has detected plans to challenge the July 8 Presidential Election result through acts of violence, but was not sure whether the moves were related to Friday's fatal explosions.
