Yogyakarta Police have placed the province on the highest level security alert following deadly terror bombings in Jakarta earlier Friday.
“All officers in regencies and cities have been instructed to increase security measures on important places,” said Yogyakarta Police chief Brig. Gen. Sunaryono.
Important places include hotels, shopping centers, state company buildings and tourist areas, said Sunaryono.
Yogyakarta Police have also increased the number of monitors on main roads connecting the province to the nearby cities of Purworejo, Magelang and Klaten. (dre)
