Australian Foreign Affairs Minister Stephen Smith is flying to Jakarta following Friday's deadly bomb blasts, which are believed to have killed three Australians.

Perth businessman Nathan Verity, Austrade official Craig Senger and a third Australian are feared dead after the explosions, which targeted two luxury hotels in the capital.

The death toll is expected to rise.

The Australian media has reported that Smith will leave Perth on Saturday morning and plans to meet with Indonesian government officials and Australian embassy staff during the visit.

Two suicide bombers blew themselves up almost simultaneously at the JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton Hotels in Kuningan, South Jakarta. At least 50 people were injured in the incident. (dre)
