Road to KPU office closed

Authorities closed Thursday the main road to the General Elections Commission (KPU) office on Jl. Imam Bonjol amid the vote counting of the July 8 presidential election.Dozens of police officers were posted at both end of Jl. Imam Bonjol, forcing all guests to walk along the road to reach the KPU office, Kompas.com reported.
The heightened security measure is taken because the vote counting process will finish either today or Friday.
The KPU has said it would announce the result of the presidential election on July 25.
